Roxanne Everett is a contemporary landscape painter who is inspired by wilderness areas of the US and abroad. Roxanne worked first as an architect and later spent several years as a National Park backcountry ranger, living and working months at a time in remote alpine environments. Her first trip to Stehekin was in 1986 while solo hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. She and her husband bought a log cabin in the Stehekin valley in 1991 where they now live for half of the year. Roxanne was selected as an artist in residence for several private arts organizations (US, Iceland, Australia, Greece) plus for four US National Parks. Her work is shown regularly in the Golden West Gallery and at various locations across the Pacific Northwest.
